The score of the game was Texans 35 and Dolphins 30. Earl Campbell rushed hard, aiming for 199 yards and four touchdowns as he defeated Bob Griese in the play at the Astrodome. Miami did take a 23-21 lead early in the 4th quarter, while A.J. Buhe sacked Dan Pastorini in the end zone for a safety. Campbell did a tremendous job by scoring twice in the final seven minutes. The 81-yard sprint with 1:11 to go to blow the game. Griese did throw an 11-yard TD pass on the final play of the game and finished the match with 23 for 33 for 349 yards along with two TDs.

He did run for another to rally Dallas from a 23-3 halftime deficit aiming to beat the defending Super Bowl champions. Danny White fervently did complete bombs of 75 and 51 yards to Tony Hill and put the Cowboys with striking distance. White’s 1-yard TD run 2:35 into the final quarter put Dallas up 24-23. Joe Theismann endeavored to rally Washington. a 33-yard interception of Ron Fellows had set up Doug Cosbie’s 1-yard scoring catch up two plays later to clinch the match.

The score of the game was Dolphins 38 and Bears 24. In the game, Dan Marino did throw three touchdown passes. Ron Davenport did run for two more due to the Dolphins handed the Bears their first toss of the season. Davenport’s TD runs along with Marino’s two scoring passes over to Nat Moore made Miami’s first-half explosion, scoring on first five possessions to have a 31-10 lead. The Bears had come into the game 12-0. The Bears looked to become the second team in NFL history to finish a season undefeated.

In the game, Joe Montana and John Elway competed back and forth all night at Mile High. The score was level in the first quarter, at the half, and even after the third quarter. Then, with 4:08 to go, Lin Elliot kicked a 19-yard field goal, which gave the Chiefs a 24-21 lead. Elway brought back the Broncos and completed the drive with a 4-yard TD run with 1:29 to go. Montana appeared again, hitting Willie Davis for a 5-yard touchdown with 8 seconds and giving the Chiefs the win.

In that game, Miami leading 30-7 early in the fourth quarter, the Giant Stadium was crowded. Vinny Testaverde did hit Laveranues Coles with a 30-yard TD pass along with Jermaine Wiggins with a 1-yard TD pass. John Hall came alone, kicking a 34-yard goal, and it was a seven-point game with more than 5 minutes left to go. Wayne Chrebet’s remarkably 24-yard TD catch with 3:55 tied the match. The Dolphins came with a 46-yard TD pass by Jay Fiedler. Vinny, one the other hand, would not be denied. Testaverde would finish the night 36-for-59 for 378 yards and 5 TDs, had hit tackle eligible Jumbo Elliott with a 3-yard TD with only 42 seconds left. Testaverde controlled the team towards a game-winning field goal by Hall in overtime.
